Clarksville-Montgomery County Green Certification ProgramMontgomery County, TN – The latest business to be recognized for completing Clarksville-Montgomery County Green Certification is Screaming Eagle Express Car Wash.

The two Screaming Eagle Car Wash facilities in Clarksville were built with savings to the environment and to the wallet in mind. With a greater up front cost but a rapid rate of return, these businesses use less energy than average and use approximately 20% of the water used in normal car washes.

The water is recaptured and filtrated so it can be used again. Reusing the water keeps it from polluting our storm water or from having to be filtered through our wastewater treatment plant.

Montgomery County Mayor Carolyn Bowers and City of Clarksville Mayor Kim McMillan were both on hand to congratulate owner Jeff Burkhart for achieving certification.

Mark Boone, manager of the car washes showed the mayors around the Madison Street location and explained that they were using car wash chemicals that contain no hazardous liquids. Boon said, “We use natural light rather than having all the lights on during the day and we look for opportunities to recycle and reuse the 30 gallon plastic containers.”

Mayor Bowers and Mayor McMillan both expressed how impressed they were with the operation and especially the reuse of water.

Screaming Eagle Express business owner Jeff Burkhart, said, “With each building I have worked to make it better. Smart investing on the front end pays off and works well for the longevity of the business.”

The company is named in honor of the soldiers serving at Fort Campbell. For more info visit the Screaming Eagle Express Car Wash.
