After the Lighted Christmas Parade, everyone gathered back at the Court house square to see the lighting of the Montgomery County Christmas Tree.

Clarksville Academy Choir and Cougar Choir“Before we light the tree, I would like to say on behalf of Montgomery County Government and the County commissioners, Merry Christmas to each and every one of you, and I hope you have a blessed new year,” said Montgomery County Mayor Jim Durrett.

Before lighting the tree, Durrett asked for 10 seconds of silence to remember the two 101st Airborne Division pilots that were killed in a helicopter crash outside of Fort Campbell on December 2nd.
