Montgomery County Mayor Wes Golden will light the Christmas Tree at 4:30pm with the parade beginning at 5:00pm. Come early to grab your seats!

Clarksville Lighted Christmas Parade set for this Saturday, December 2nd

Clarksville Parks and Recreation DepartmentClarksville, TN – The annual Lighted Christmas Parade, jointly presented by the Clarksville and Recreation Department and Montgomery County, will be held on Saturday, December 2nd, 2023, at 5:00pm.

The parade route will begin on Eighth Street on the Austin Peay State University campus. The parade will progress from Eighth Street to College Street and then to University Avenue.

From there, the parade will proceed around Public Square, the Historic Courthouse, and back to Franklin Street. The route will turn from Franklin onto Eighth Street and then return to the APSU Campus.

Clarksville’s Christmas Parade brings holiday cheer to Downtown

2021 Clarksville Christmas ParadeClarksville, TN – Clarksville’s Lighted Christmas Parade returned to the streets of Downtown Clarksville on Saturday, as thousands came out to watch local marching bands, and an array of floats portraying this year’s theme, Gingerbread House.

Prior to the start of the parade, the Downtown Commons ice rink was packed with skaters, Santa Claus visited with families near a giant Christmas tree, and First Presbyterian Church hosted its Sixth Annual SpiritFest.

Clarksville Parks and Recreation announces Christmas Parade Winners

Clarksville Parks and Recreation DepartmentClarksville, TN – The City of Clarksville and Montgomery County Government announce the winners of the 2021 Lighted Christmas Parade.

More than 100 local businesses, schools, and organizations showcased their Christmas spirit Saturday in Downtown Clarksville by presenting a float or driving a fun vehicle decked out in holiday cheer.

This year’s theme was “Gingerbread Houses” and Lee Irwin, a long-time local reporter, and radio personality served as this year’s parade grand marshal.

Clarksville-Montgomery County Christmas Parade to be held Saturday

Clarksville Parks and Recreation DepartmentClarksville, TN – The annual Christmas parade, hosted by the City of Clarksville and Montgomery County Government, will take place at 5:00pm on Saturday, December 4th, 2021 in downtown Clarksville. Long-time local reporter and radio personality, Lee Irwin, will honorably serve as this year’s parade grand marshal and was selected for his many years of announcing the parade and ongoing support of the Clarksville community.

The parade route will begin on Eighth Street on the Austin Peay State University (APSU) campus. From Eighth Street, the parade will progress to College Street and then to University Avenue. From there the route is the same as years past, proceeding around Public Square, the Historic Courthouse, and back to Franklin Street. Clarksville's SpiritfestClarksville, TN – Downtown Clarksville was the site of the 3rd Annual SpiritFest Saturday, a holiday event that preceded this year’s 58th Annual Clarksville Lighted Christmas Parade.

Festivities were held in an area that included streets and parking lots between First Presbyterian Church on Main Street, Trinity Episcopal Church on Franklin Street, and the new Downtown Commons space.

Pre-Parade SpiritFest Promises Fun, Family-Friendly Activities

November 18, 2017

Clarksville's SpiritfestClarksville, TN – The 3rd Annual SpiritFest, a holiday event from 2:00pm until 5:00pm on Saturday, December 2nd, 2017, will offer a bounty of free activities, including visits with Santa Claus, rides on the International Express Bus, four kids’ inflatables, live music on the new Downtown Commons stage, ice skating, art and gift markets, food trucks and a live nativity with animals.

It will start three hours before Clarksville’s 58th Annual Lighted Christmas Parade, which will pass by its location in Historic Downtown Clarksville.

SpiritFest, a free “Pre-Parade Celebration of Christmas,” will feature kids’ inflatables, Santa Claus, complimentary hot chocolate and cookies, Christmas music performances by multiple groups, a live nativity including animals, food trucks and two art and gift markets.
