To become an EMT, individuals must earn National Registry for Emergency Medical Technician certification.

The EMS profession is constantly evolving, and it is essential to remain current with changing technology and practices. Classes will be at the new, state-of-the-art Montgomery County EMS training facility. Students will learn from the leaders in the industry. Austin Peay State University EMT instructors are certified, and they have extensive experience in the EMS profession.

The course is only 14 weeks, with classes meeting from 8:00am-4:30pm on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

Qualified graduates from the course will have a preference from competitive hiring lists for vacant EMT positions in Montgomery County.

For information on the course, visit the Austin Peay State University EMT website.
