Clarksville Parks and Recreation Department to Celebrate Arbor Day

Clarksville, TN – On Friday, March 14th, 2013, the Clarksville City Forester, Kathrine Stevenson, along with elementary school students will celebrate “Arbor Day” by planting a Crabapple tree at Pisgah Elementary School at 1:00pm.

Bruce Webster from the Tennessee Division of Forestry and the Clarksville Tree Board will be there to hand out Tree City awards.
Tennessee Division of Forestry and the Clarksville Parks and Recreation Department will also hand out small trees. Tree species will include; Over up Oaks, Redbuds, and Southern Crab Apple.
