The first concert will feature 13-course lutenist Christopher Wilke in a recital of eighteenth century lute music.

The Tuesday concert features the Aron-Berkner guitar and flute duo in a concert of recent music for guitar and flute.

The final concert features versatile guitarist Karl Wohlwend, who will perform a selection of five-course baroque music guitar along with a selection of period arrangements for two guitars of music by Haydn, Mozart and Beethoven (with APSU Professor of Music Stanley Yates).

Wilke combines modern and historical performance on the guitar and lute with his interests in original composition and research. His recordings have been released on Centaur Records and his recent performances include an appearance on NPR’s “Sunday Baroque. His program will include rarely heard masterpieces for the lute by Bach, Haydn, Hasse and Weiss.

The Aron-Berkner flute and guitar duo have been performing together for more than 10 years. Along with several arrangements made for the duo by Aron, their program will include new works written for them by Benoit Albert and James Wilding, as well as further contemporary repertoire for flute and guitar by Lezcano and Iznaola.

Widely versatile guitarist and recording artist Wohlwend’s performances range from baroque-guitar music, to classical chamber music, to national touring guitarist with the critically acclaimed Irish folk band Knot Fibb’n. Wohlwend’s program will include solo music for the five-course baroque guitar, along with period arrangements for two guitars of music by Haydn, Mozart and Beethoven (with Yates).
