Clarksville Academy is 1 of 3 Private Schools chosen for Apple Leadership and Learning Event
Clarksville, TN – Clarksville Academy has been selected as one of three locations to host the Apple Independent School Leadership and Learning Event. This invitation only event will take place on Wednesday, May 15th from 8:45am-3:00pm in CA’s iMac lab.
Apple has named Clarksville Academy as a Middle Tennessee leader in technology. Only two private schools in the US were chosen to host this event, Clarksville Academy and Preston Christian Academy in Plano, TX. The last of the three events will take place at the Santa Monica Apple Store in Santa Monica, CA.
Apple’s Leadership and Learning event invites private school leadership from across the Southeast United States to come to Clarksville Academy’s campus to participate in this hands-on event. These schools are in various stages of Apple integration and will be learning how to improve and enhance their school’s educational programs.
They will explore how digital content is changing education and how it is creating new teaching and learning opportunities in classrooms everywhere. School leaders will discuss with one another what is working in their digital learning environments and how those environments are causing their students to excel.
Teachers will discover how digital learning environments will open doors to new approaches on teaching and learning. They will experience a whole new world of apps, digital content, and multi-touch textbooks. This session is sure to energize teachers to lead their students and schools through this new era of digital learning!
Sessions will be led by Apple educators Dr. Katherine Hughes K-12 Development Executive, Mr. Tim Matheny Senior Systems Engineer, and Kristen Ramsey Account Executive. Clarksville Academy Head of Schools Kay Drew and Technology Director Cara Miller have also been asked to speak.
