Clarksville Academy Named Apple Distinguished School

Clarksville, TN – Clarksville Academy, a PK-12 college preparatory school located in downtown Clarksville, Tennessee has just been named an Apple Distinguished School. CA has been named a 2013-2015 Apple Distinguished School in recognition of the innovation, leadership and educational excellence of its 1 to 1 MacBook/ iPad program.
Head of School Kay Drew formally announced the designation during a State of the School Address at a recent Blue and Gold Breakfast, and again during an all faculty surprise celebration.
Clarksville Academy is 1 of 3 Private Schools chosen for Apple Leadership and Learning Event

Clarksville, TN – Clarksville Academy has been selected as one of three locations to host the Apple Independent School Leadership and Learning Event. This invitation only event will take place on Wednesday, May 15th from 8:45am-3:00pm in CA’s iMac lab.
Apple has named Clarksville Academy as a Middle Tennessee leader in technology. Only two private schools in the US were chosen to host this event, Clarksville Academy and Preston Christian Academy in Plano, TX. Clarksville Academy announces SACS Accreditation

Clarksville, TN – Clarksville Academy, a Pre-K through 12th grade private college preparatory school, is pleased to announce that the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Council on Accreditation and School Improvement (SACS CASI) has awarded Clarksville Academy accreditation.
This group represents 27,000 public and private schools and districts across the U.S. and in 65 countries worldwide educating 15 million students.
The SACS team visited Clarksville Academy in February over a two-day period and announced their accreditation in July.
Clarksville Academy pledges to “X the Text” while Driving

Clarksville, TN – Clarksville Academy, a Pre-K through 12th grade private college preparatory school is excited to announce their participation in ‘X the Text’ an event sponsored by Nannette Munford Insurance Agencies. The event will take place on October 5th, 2011 during morning assembly.
This event is to encourage teen drivers to stop texting while driving. An informative video produced by our student council officers will be shown to the students during assembly and students will be asked to sign the “X the Text” pledge. Texting and driving is one of the top killers of teen drivers and CA supports this pledge for our students, staff and faculty.
We encourage everyone to join in the X the Text pledge.
