Veterans Day program at Customs House Museum to include APSU History Professor Dr. Dewey Browder and APSU Department of Music

The Customs House Museum and Cultural CenterClarksville, TN – A well-known Austin Peay State University history faculty member and members of the APSU Department of Music will be a part of a special celebration to honor military veterans.

Dr. Dewey Browder, chair and professor of history and philosophy, will be the guest speaker at a Veterans Day celebration on Saturday, November 10th at the Customs House Museum on South Second Street in Clarksville. APSU’s music department will perform a patriotic tribute.

The event, sponsored by the Kiwanis Service and Sacrifice Committee and Customs House Museum, will begin at 11:30am with refreshments. The Veterans Day program will start at 1:00pm.

Located in the heart of historic downtown Clarksville, Tennessee, the Customs House Museum and Cultural Center is the State’s second largest general museum. Regular museum hours are 10:00am to 5:00pm Tuesday through Saturday, and 1:00pm to 5:00pm on Sundays. Adult admission is $7.00, Sr. Citizens and College ID $5.00, Ages 6 to 18 $3.00, and under six years and Museum members are free.
