Clarksville’s Indoor Aquatic Center opens for the season with new Climbing Wall feature

Clarksville, TN – The City of Clarksville Parks and Recreation Department invites you to enjoy the Indoor Aquatic Center at New Providence, located at 166 Cunningham Lane, this fall and winter! The Indoor Aquatic Center opens its doors for the Indoor Season on Monday, October 1st.

Enjoy a day of free admission, refreshments and free Wibit and Aqua Climb access on Opening Day from 7:00am to 12:00pm and 3:00pm until 8:00pm.

New this year to the Indoor Aquatic Center is the Aqua Climb, recreational climbing wall. This poolside climbing wall provides a fun and safe water activity for kids of all ages. This new feature combines fun and fitness to challenge climbers. Access to the Aqua Climb requires the purchase of a $2.00 wristband.

The restroom and locker room area of the Indoor Aquatic Center has undergone improvements. Both men’s and women’s have received new flooring and new ADA accessible stalls.

The facility will be open from 7:00am to 12:00pm and 3:00pm until 8:00pm Monday through Friday. Weekend hours are 10:00am to 6:00pm on Saturdays and 1:00pm to 6:00pm on Sundays.

The Indoor Aquatic Center offers six comprehensive levels of swim lessons as well as Mommy & Me, Preschool, Adult and Adaptive swim lessons. Two-week sessions are held monthly beginning November 5th. Registration is currently underway.

The Indoor Aquatic Center is once again offering a variety of water fitness classes. Basic Water Aerobics will be held Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 6:00pm and are $2.00 with a pool pass, $4.00 without a pass.

Aqua Zumba will be held Tuesdays and Thursdays at 5:00pm for $3.00, with or without a pool pass.

[320left]Silver Splash, for those 50 years and older, will be Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 10:00am for $2.00 with a pass, $4.00 without a pass.

Lap Swim is also available Monday through Friday for $3.00 from 7:00am to 9:00am.

The popular, Try SCUBA course will be offered on the first Saturday of the month beginning November 5th for $25.00 per person.

Daily Admission to the Indoor Aquatic Center is $3.00 Monday through Friday and $5.00 on weekends. The Indoor Aquatic Center also offers weekly promotions to help patrons save money. Each Tuesday is $1.00 Admission Day, Wednesdays are “WaterPlay Wednesdays,” where patrons can enjoy Wibit and Aqua Climb access for free, and Thursdays are 2-for-1 Admission Day.

Year-Round and Indoor pool passes are currently on sale. Passes can be purchased at the Clarksville Parks and Recreation Main Office as well as at the Indoor Aquatic Center after the pool’s opening.
