2012 Clarksville Sports Festival to feature a variety of sports, athletic and outdoor activities this weekend

Clarksville, TN – Clarksville Parks and Recreation will be kicking off its second-annual Clarksville Sports Festival on Saturday, March 17th, at the Foy Fitness Center located on the campus of Austin Peay State University, with a variety of sports, athletic and outdoor activities for the entire family.

The day-long festival is a celebration of sports and athletics in Clarksville and Montgomery County that will feature not only clinics, sports demonstrations and interactive areas, but also seminars and even an exposition area where over 20 of Clarksville and Montgomery County’s athletic and outdoor clubs, businesses and organizations will come together in one location.

In addition to clinics, seminars and demonstrations there will be great giveaways to include a BBQ Grill/Cooler Combo, a tennis racquet, a soccer jersey and ball, coolers and outdoor chairs, a Buddy Lee jump rope and more!

Festival-goers can sign in as they arrive to get into the drawing for prizes. There will also be Meet-and-Greet opportunities with Titans Cheerleaders from 12:00pm to 2:00pm as well as, Mixed Martial Arts Fighters Steven Durr from 10:00am to 12:00pm and Jonathan Ivey from 2:00pm to 4:00pm.

Clarksville Sports Festival will take place from 9:00am to 4:00pm and is open to all ages. The rock climbing wall will be open from 10:00am to 12:00pm and from 1:00pm to 3:00pm. Cost of admission and participation is free.
