Montgomery County Parks Department Receives Recreational Trails Program Grant
Montgomery County, TN – Montgomery County Government was recently awarded the Recreational Trails Program (RTP) grant from the State of Tennessee.
Of the $565,000 in grants awarded by the Environment and Conservation Department this week, Montgomery County received the largest award of $120,000.
According to Montgomery County Mayor Carolyn Bowers, “We are so pleased to be able to move forward with phase 2 of this project for Rotary Park. This park encompasses multiple trails and beautiful scenery, and anytime we get a chance to enhance the experience our citizens have in our parks, we are certainly excited to do so.”
Rotary Park is a 100-acre nature park with over five miles of hiking/biking trails, one large pavilion, two small pavilions, a large ADA-accessible playground, and restroom facilities.
