Clarksville Parks and Recreation invites public to design workshop for inclusive playground

Clarksville, TN – The Clarksville Parks and Recreation Department is inviting citizens to participate in a two-day workshop on the design of a proposed new inclusive playground at the Clarksville Athletic Complex at Exit 8.
The workshop is from 6:00pm-7:30pm on January 16th at Freedom Point. The purpose is to show the community what inclusive play looks like and to gather ideas, thoughts and visions about how a new inclusive park could take shape in the Athletic Complex, which is in the design phase.
The goal is to formulate a path forward based on input from the community to create a playground for everyone to enjoy.

Clarksville, TN – Clarksville Parks and Recreation reopened Bel-Aire Park, a neighborhood green space on Marie Drive off of Peachers Mill Road, Thursday with new and improved playground equipment.
“When I became Mayor, one thing that was very important to me, was ensuring we had recreational opportunities, parks and other amenities for all children to enjoy,” Clarksville Mayor Kim McMillan said.

Clarksville Parks and Recreation will cut ribbon Thursday morning
Clarksville, TN – Clarksville Parks and Recreation invites the public to a ribbon cutting ceremony celebrating the installation of new playground equipment.
The ribbon cutting ceremony will be at 9:00am on Thursday, June 7th, 2018 at Bel-Aire Park, a neighborhood green space on Marie Drive off of Peachers Mill Road.
All Kids Welcome! New Playground and Splash Pad Preparing for Grand Opening

The grand opening will take place Thursday, May 26th at 10:00am at the park.

Clarksville Parks and Recreation gives Billy Dunlop Park a facelift

Clarksville, TN – On Saturday, September 28th, 2013 the City of Clarksville Parks and Recreation partnered with Freudenberg Filtration Technologies of Hopkinsville, Kentucky to complete a Company Service Project at Billy Dunlop Park.
The project consisted of replacing the gravel that covers the playground with a softer wood mulch, clearing out brush near the walking bridge and painting a fence.
