Lions Club Sheriff’s Office Appreciation Breakfast

Montgomery County Sheriff's Office - MCSOClarksville, TN – The Clarksville Queen City Lions Club held their annual Sheriff’s Office Appreciation Breakfast over the weekend.

After a breakfast of sausage and pancakes, local Lions Club President Ed Lantz presented awards to three deputies in recognition of their service to Montgomery County.

Deputy Adam Liberatore received The Lions Cub Award. The award is presented to a deputy with less than one year of service.

Liberatore received the award for his decision to pursue suspects actively shooting at him.

His decision ended with the apprehension of all suspects with no injuries to himself or the suspects.

Deputy Brett Badgett received The Officer’s Choice Award. The recipient of this award is determined by nominations from fellow deputies. Badgett, a standout among his peers, received the most nominations in the office. He is known by his colleagues for his work ethic, knowledge, kindness, and willingness to help.

Assistant Chief Deputy Douglas Tackett received The President’s Award. The recognition is presented to a deputy with at least 25 years of service and selected by Montgomery County Sheriff John Fuson. Tackett has worked for the Sheriff’s Office for 35 years in the Detention Division.

The Lions Club is a local service organization. Primarily known for providing glasses to low income individuals at no cost, they also conduct food drives and participate in the Adopt-A-Highway program.
