Clarksville’s Convenient Car Care Inc. raises money for Pearl Point Cancer Support

Clarksville, TN – During October’s Breast Cancer Awareness month, Convenient Car Care Inc. of Clarksville held a campaign to raise money for cancer awareness. During the month, they accepted donations from their customers at their Valvoline Instant Oil Change and Valvoline Complete Car Care facilities in Clarksville, Nashville, and Kentucky.

“During the month of October, we donated $2.00 of every oil change that came through our stores as well as excepted donations from our customers that went directly to Pearl Point Cancer Support,” said Candace Ursery, President of Convenient Car Care Inc.

Hearing the words “you have cancer” from a medical provider can be devastating. Understandably, newly diagnosed patients may be emotionally compromised, and accessing all the information available to them today on the internet can be intimidating, confusing and misleading.

“Today, we presented Pearl Point with an $8,000 check that we raised during the month of October to support their education, awareness and patient help with breast cancer,” said Ursery.

“We’re out here today accepting a fantastic gift from Valvoline Complete Car Care Center here in Clarksville”, said Sandra Lillie with Pearl Point Cancer Support. “Pearl Point Cancer Support helps provide education and information to cancer patients and their families as they go through their journey.”

“I’ve been touched personally by this disease watching my own mother fight it, so it’s personal with me,” stated ursery. “My company will do what it can to support awareness, and help raise money for research until we find a cure.”
