“I appreciate the Clarksville-Montgomery County Community Health Foundation for investing in our community through these grant awards,” said Mayor McMillan. “The Mayor’s Fitness Council has been working very hard to develop programs and initiatives that will have a real impact on improving the health and fitness opportunities in Clarksville. This grant will provide much needed resources to their plans to fruition.”

The grant will provide Clarksville companies with key resources to implement a healthier environment at work. By becoming identified as a Clarkswell workplace, organizations can create long lasting, sustainable changes that support an employee‘s efforts to be healthy.

Healthy workplace policies attract and maintain high quality employees that are healthier and more productive. The Clarkswell movement will also expand efforts to achieve higher levels of well-being in schools, parks, congregations, and other organizations.

The Mayor’s Fitness Council (MFC) was one of Mayor’s McMillan’s earliest initiatives and emphasizes her commitment to make Clarksville one of the healthiest cities to live, work and raise a family.
