Valvoline Complete Car Care goes “pink” for Breast Cancer awareness

Clarksville, TN – The next time you drive down Wilma Rudolph Boulevard, you might notice the color scheme on the building of the Valvoline Complete Car Care Center.

Pink!

October is Breast Cancer Awareness month, and in a campaign to raise awareness to the fight against cancer, Valvoline painted their building pink.

Candace Ursery, President of Convenient Car Care Inc., who owns the Valvoline franchise in Clarksville explains their promotion:

“Our family has been touched by this terrible disease, so we wanted to do something to raise awareness to the fight against Cancer. We decided that it would make an impact if we painted our Wilma Rudolph Boulevard store pink, in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness. It’s hard to miss when driving by.”

But painting their building pink was not the only thing Valvoline had in mind.

“During the month of October, we will donate $2.00 for every oil change to the Sarah Cannon Research Center, to help fund the research into a cure for Cancer. We will also encourage our customers to make a donation that will go directly to this campaign,” said Ursery. “We will also host a cook-out on October 11th at our “pink” facility where we will be grilling hot dogs and hamburgers, and invite everyone out to enjoy the food and make a donation to our campaign.”

Convenient Car Care Inc. operates the Valvoline Instant Oil Change and Valvoline Complete Car Care facilities in Clarksville, Nashville, and Kentucky. Owner Doug Wall said that his idea is a first for Valvoline Corporate, and they have had an overwhelming amount of support from other franchisees and the Valvoline Corporate office.

“They think it’s a great idea, and we’ve been getting calls of support from other cities who want to help. I’ve been touched personally by this disease watching my own mother fight it, so it’s personal with me. My company will do what it can to support awareness, and help raise money for research until we find a cure.”
