APSU Class of 1963’s 50-year reunion set for April 27th
Clarksville, TN – In 1963, “Lawrence of Arabia” won Best Picture at the Academy Awards, the Los Angeles Dodgers won the World Series and dozens of young students graduated from what was then known as Austin Peay State College.
On April 27th, those graduates are invited to return to campus for the 50-year reunion of the Class of 1963.
All members of the Class of 1963 are invited to reunite with old classmates and reminisce with close friends during the event. What might they talk about?
In the 1963 APSC yearbook, Farewell and Hail, the senior class officers said they would remember “bonfires…snake dances…freshman pajama parades…the night the flagpole was greased and the college colors changed from red to pink…the Cheatham County Torch Game …the blockade run at Harvill Hall.”
If you are one of the select few who remember what any of that means, you need to attend this year’s reunion.
For more information, or to RSVP by April 19th, please contact the APSU Alumni Relations Office at 931.221.7979.
