Montgomery County Health Department gets New Director

Montgomery County, TN – The Montgomery County Mayor’s Office is pleased to announce that Joey Smith has been selected to lead the Montgomery County Health Department as the Public Health Director.
Smith will replace Andre Fresco who is moving out of state to pursue other opportunities.
Smith is an Austin Peay graduate with over 12 years experience with the Tennessee Department of Health.

He has served in the same capacity for both Dickson and Humphreys counties for the last three years.
“We are pleased to have Joey Smith join the Health Department as the new director. Joey has been in Montgomery County for over 17 years and knows our community well. He will be a great asset to our Health Department and I look forward to working with him,” says Montgomery County Mayor Carolyn Bowers.
Smith will assume his new role on Friday, May 25th.
