City and County Host Downtown Decorating Contest

Montgomery County, TN – The Downtown Decorating Contest will be a continued tradition in the 5th Annual Downtown for the Holidays celebration presented by the City of Clarksville and Montgomery County Government, in Downtown Clarksville on December 3rd.

The contest is open to downtown businesses from University Avenue to Riverside Drive. Businesses can show their holiday spirit while vying for the title of Best Window and Door Display, Most Creative Use of Lights or People’s Choice.

The People’s Choice is a new addition this year. Businesses wishing to enter the contest will have their entrance photographed and added to the Downtown for the Holidays Facebook page. The community will then “like” their favorite on the Facebook page.

Voting will be open from November 22nd through the Christmas parade on December 3rd. The other two categories will be judged by a committee on the day of the parade. All displays must be completed by November 22nd to be eligible.

Prizes include $1,000 in free advertising in each category. To enter your business for judging, contact Elizabeth Black at 931.648.8482. Winners will be announced during the parade.
