City receives state approval to perform its own Electrical Inspections

Clarksville, TN – Clarksville Mayor Kim McMillan has received final approval from the state for the city’s Building and Codes department to begin issuing its own electrical permits for construction within the city limits.

Final approval comes nearly a year after the Building and Codes department first began considering this change. Department officials approached city Mayor Kim McMillan in January, made an inquiry with the state and submitted the paperwork to proceed in April.
The program is projected to begin October 3rd.
