Clarksville Parks and Recreation to host summer series exclusively for teens

Clarksville, TN – School is out and summer is in! The City of Clarksville Parks and Recreation Department will once again host a summer series exclusively for teens to ward off the summertime blues. The second-annual “Party in the Park” series will kick off Friday, June 17th, from 6:00pm-10:00pm at Dixon Park, 117 South 10th Street.

“Party in the Park” is a three-month series open to teens 15 to 18 and features an event each month at a different park. The June event at Dixon Park will include a DJ, games and just a fun, safe environment to hang out with friends. The second event will be Saturday, July 23rd, at the Heritage Park Skate Park, 1241 Peachers Mill Road. The final event will be a “Dive-In Movie” at one of the City’s public pool on Saturday, August 13th. An inflatable movie screen will be assembled by the pool, which has not yet been selected, for teen swimmers’ viewing.
