Clarksville, TN – A night that already promises to be super will be filled with even more wonder when a surprise superhero guest makes a special appearance at Clarksville Parks and Recreation’s Father-Daughter Date Night.
The special guest is presented by Gateway Credit Union and is sure to be a hit with all the attendees.

Barks & Brews to be held August 24th at Gladiator Brewery Co.

Clarksville, TN – Clarksville Mayor Kim McMillan invites Clarksville youths to join in a summer program filled with fun activities and free food designed to help them fight summertime boredom.
The sixth season of the Mayor’s Summer Night Lights program will kick off June 4th and continue at various locations throughout the summer with DJs, athletic competitions, arts and crafts, local music performances, and more.
Montgomery Central High School Prom a night to remember

Cunningham, TN – Montgomery Central High School held its 2018 Prom at the Wilma Rudolph Event Center, with about 300 students enjoying this year’s theme, Under the Stars.
Ruth Nunn is the Junior Class Advisor at Montgomery Central High School, she has been instrumental in the school’s proms for 24 of her 25 years there.
“MCHS is unique,” Nunn said “We are the only school in the county whose junior class presents prom to the senior class as a gift. This has been a tradition here at MCHS, I guess, since the school’s earliest proms.”
Rossview High School Prom full of Color and Splendor

Clarksville, TN – Rossview High School’s Class of 2018 held its prom at Valor Hall in Oak Grove, Kentucky this year, with a colorful theme, and almost 500 enthusiastic prom-goers expected to attend.
Nora Murphy is the official Class Sponsor of the 2018 student council class at Rossview High School. She took a few minutes to talk about the evening.
Murphy says she works with a student council group of about 15 students who organize events throughout the year. The money they raise is used to fund the facility, entertainment, food, and decorations for prom.

Jazz on the Lawn cancels show due to Rain Concerns

Clarksville, TN – Fans of Beachaven Winery’s Jazz on the Lawn series were a bit disappointed this weekend as Saturday’s show featuring the Consouselors had to be altered at the last minute for safety concerns.
After a beautiful week of weather leading up to Saturday’s event, remnants of Hurricane Nate moved through the area over the weekend and organizers were forced to cancel the band, and not set up the outside wine sales area.

This program strives to create a fun atmosphere that offers youth and teens a positive way to spend time during the summer. Each night features a healthy meal provided by a local food charity, a variety of activities including a DJ, sports tournaments, arts & crafts, inflatables, health and job information booths, motivational speakers, and special guests.

The fifth season of the Mayor’s Summer Night Lights program will kick off June 5th with 5-on-5 basketball tournaments and continue at various locations throughout the summer with DJs, athletic competitions, arts and crafts, local music performances and even a step show featuring fraternities and sororities from Austin Peay State University.
