Bi-county holds Household Hazardous Waste Day

Montgomery County, TN – Bi-County Solid Waste Management will be hosting a Household Hazardous Waste Day on Saturday, April 9th from 8:00am to 2:00pm in the Veterans Plaza Parking Lot on Pageant Lane. The collection site will accept items such as. household cleaners, herbicides, pesticides, gasoline, transmission fluid, pool chemicals, etc.

This event is established to protect the environment and sanitation workers by keeping these items out of the regular trash and landfill.

Some items that were previously allowed to be collected during this event will now be collected at the Transfer Station on Highway Drive (near Veterans Plaza) from 8:00am until 2:00pm on the same day. These items include batteries, oil, paint, anti-freeze and electronics.

Items will be accepted from residents of Montgomery and Stewart counties only and no commercial items will be accepted during the event.
