Clarksville’s 4th Annual Downtown for the Holidays

Clarksville Parks and RecreationClarksville, TN – Be a part of a Clarksville tradition by celebrating this year at the 4th Annual Downtown for the Holidays celebration presented by the City of Clarksville and US Bank, in Downtown Clarksville, December 4th beginning at 3:00pm.

The event kicks off with the Jingle Bell Jog 5K sponsored by the City of Clarksville and R3. The race will begin at 3:00pm, followed by a youth run at 3:45pm. You can register now at www.active.com. Deadline to register is December 2nd.

At 4:00pm, join the City of Clarksville and Montgomery County Government as they host activities for the whole family. Come out to enjoy cookie decorating for kids, free hot chocolate and caroling on the County Square.

Once again, the City of Clarksville and Ingredients have partnered together to host this year’s 2nd Annual Christmas Cookie Bake-off. To participate, bake your favorite holiday treat and submit your entry to Ingredients, located at 100 Strawberry Alley by 5:00pm, December 4th. Entry fee is five samples for judging along with two dozen treats which will be donated to the Madison Street United Methodist Sunday Dinner Program. Entries will be judged according to taste, presentation, and originality.

This hometown celebration will come to a close with the much anticipated 51st annual Clarksville Lighted Christmas Parade at 5:00pm, sponsored by both the City of Clarksville and the Clarksville Jaycees. The lighting of the Courthouse tree will take place immediately following the parade.

Downtown for the Holidays is presented by the City of Clarksville and US Bank and is sponsored by The Leaf Chronicle, Lamar Advertising, Clarksville Family Magazine, CDE Lightband, The Beaver 100.3 FM, Eagle 94.3 FM, Z97.5 FM, WJZM, TV Clarksville.com, and Ad One Advertising.
