Hopkinsville, KY – HopFed Bancorp, Inc. (NASDAQ: HFBC) (the “Company”), the holding company for Heritage Bank (the “Bank”), today reported results for the three month period ended March 31st, 2013.
For the three month period ended March 31st, 2013, the Company’s net income available to common shareholders was $984,000, or $0.13 per common share, basic and diluted, compared to net income available to common shareholders of $470,000, or $0.06 per common share basic and diluted, for the three month period ended March 31st, 2012. Heritage Bank Announces Montgomery County Scholarship Honoree

Clarksville, TN – Heritage Bank is pleased to announce Vickie T. Wallace as the 2013 Heritage Bank Scholarship Fund Montgomery County Honoree.
Nineteen seniors from the Montgomery County area will receive the Heritage Bank High School Scholarship in honor of Mrs. Wallace and the commitment she has made to the Montgomery County community.
Over the last ten years, Heritage Bank has committed over $194,000 dollars in scholarship funds to 388 senior high school students planning to attend a higher education institution. [Read more]

Hopkinsville, KY – HopFed Bancorp, Inc. (NASDAQ: HFBC) (“HopFed”), the parent company of Heritage Bank in Hopkinsville, Kentucky (“Heritage”), today announced that it has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire Sumner Bank & Trust (OTC Pink: SBKT), based in Gallatin, Tennessee (“Sumner”).
HopFed has agreed to pay approximately $14.3 million in cash, or $10.04 per share, to purchase all of the common stock and common stock equivalents of Sumner, including common stock that would be issued upon the conversion of Sumner’s convertible preferred stock upon a change of control (subject to adjustments). Bowl for Kids’ Sake Benefiting Big Brothers Big Sisters of Clarksville

Clarksville, TN – Big Brothers Big Sisters is recruiting teams for their 31st annual Bowl for Kids’ Sake. The annual fundraiser has brought the Clarksville community together to raise funds for the non-profit’s mentoring programs for many years. This event is expected to raise $80,000 for Big Brothers Big Sisters of Clarksville.
The event will kick off on Tuesday March 5th, 2013 at The Pinnacle with the Banker’s Challenge. Area banks have competed to raise the most funds for Big Brothers Big Sisters by raising money among the branches. [Read more]

Clarksville, TN – Standing on the long front porch, Austin Peay State University President Tim Hall peeked through a window to the inside of a house that now belongs to the APSU Foundation.
On December 11th, Heritage Bank President Keith Bennett presented Hall with the deed to 1220 Madison Street, located across the street from McReynolds-Nave and Larson Funeral Home in the historic district.
