Bethel University named top graduate school in Business Journal’s ‘Book of Lists’

Clarksville, TN – Bethel University’s Executive MBA program has garnered yet another honor: The school has been named #1 in enrollment for graduate schools of business by both the Nashville and Memphis Business Journal’s “Book of Lists”. The title is awarded to the graduate school with the highest number of enrollees. A total of 498 students were enrolled in Bethel’s Master’s of Business Administration program in the fall of 2011. Budweiser of Clarksville dontates to Habitat for Humanity Women Build 2012

Clarksville, TN – Budweiser of Clarksville made a $1000 donation to Habitat for Humanity Women Build 2012 in an effort to raise $30,000 in sponsorships to build a new home for a qualified low-income Habitat partner family.
Women Build is a women-led committee dedicated to developing resources to build the home. Women from Montgomery County are dedicating their time and experience to raise funds and resources in their community for the effort. City Councilwoman Deanna McLaughlin is leading the campaign.

Prom Dresses overtake Miller-Motte Technical College Campus

Clarksville, TN – Prom-O-Rama has come to Clarksville and a rainbow of color is flowing through Miller-Motte Technical College’s (MMTC) campus these days. Dozens and dozens of prom dresses are being collected at MMTC. In an effort to keep costs down for Montgomery County high school girls attending their proms, MMTC is collecting prom dresses from ladies in the community that wish to sell dresses they will no longer wear but would like to sell.

Austin Peay State University Provost Lecture Series to feature geography professor’s field work in Uganda

Clarksville, TN – An Austin Peay State University geography professor will discuss her field work in Uganda last summer as part of the next Provost Lecture Series session at APSU.
Dr. Christine Mathenge, associate professor of geography, will speak at 3:00pm, Thursday, February 23rd in the Morgan University Center, Room 303. The event is free and open to the public.
