Clarksville’s Downtown Market Final Day of the Season Saturday

Clarksville, TN – Since its opening, the Clarksville Downtown Market has been a success- so much so that it was voted the number one market in Tennessee through America’s Farmland Trust, four years in a row!
Don’t miss your chance to visit the Clarksville Downtown Market on its final day of the season, next Saturday, October 19th, 2013. The market will be open from 8:00am to 1:00pm, on Public Square.
Civil War Carbine Demo coming to Clarksville’s Fort Defiance Civil War Park

Clarksville, TN – A demonstration of Civil War weaponry is planned for Saturday, November 2nd, 2013, from 10:00am to 5:00pm, at the Fort Defiance Civil War Park and Interpretive Center.
Fort Defiance, located at 120 Duncan Street, will open at 10:00am with the first carbine demonstration taking place at 10:30am and continuing every half hour.

Clarksville Parks and Recreation announces Outdoor fitness gym at Liberty Park to open Saturday

Clarksville, TN – Installation of the new outdoor fitness gym at Liberty Park is nearly complete and is expected to open to the public this Saturday, October 12th, 2013.

Clarksville Park and Recreation’s Boxing Cardio packs a punch of calorie-burning activity

Clarksville, TN – Punch and kick away the pounds at the Burt-Cobb Community Center’s Boxing Cardio class! Boxing Cardio is open to youth and adults ages 9 years and older.
For just one hour of blood-pumping cardio, participants can burn anywhere from 800-1,000 calories as well as relieve the stress of daily life in this class held Mondays at 6:30pm at the center, located at 1011 Franklin Street, beginning November 4th. [Read more]
