Clarksville Parks and Recreation announces Special Needs Nights at Indoor Aquatic Center

Clarksville, TN – The first Special Needs Night of the season will be this Saturday, November 9th, from 6:00pm-8:00pm at the Indoor Aquatic Center, located at 166 Cunningham Lane.
Hosted by the Clarksville Parks and Recreation Department and the IAC, Special Needs Nights will be held the second Saturday of every month until April 2014.
Clarksville’s Christmas on the Cumberland Grand Opening Scheduled

Clarksville, TN – The City of Clarksville’s Christmas on the Cumberland, a Southeast Tourism Society’s Top 20 Event for the sixth year in a row, is sure to create lasting memories this holiday season as thousands experience the captivating displays of over one million lights to include trees wrapped in new blue lights!
Join the City of Clarksville and US Bank as we celebrate Christmas on the Cumberland’s 15th year with a grand opening ceremony, Tuesday, November 26th, 2013 at 6:30pm at McGregor Park’s RiverWalk.

Walk with Me Tennessee Program offers Smoky Mountains prize

Clarksville, TN – On Saturday, October 26th, the 5th Annual Fright on Franklin, presented by The City of Clarksville and Altra Federal Credit Union will take place beginning at 3:00pm in Downtown Clarksville.

Clarksville Parks and Recreation’s Dream Chasers Group Mentoring Program Continues

Clarksville, TN – Clarksville Parks & Recreation’s Dream Chasers Group Mentoring Program continues at the Burt-Cobb and Crow Centers! Dream Chasers is focused on helping at-risk youth, ages 13-17 in a small group atmosphere.
Small group leaders, guided by professionals, will mentor youth as they discuss dealing with negative influences that affect teens and will promote making healthy and informed decisions.
