APSU Military Alumni Chapter Homecoming Dinner to honor named scholarships on October 26th

Clarksville, TN – The Austin Peay State University (APSU) Military Alumni Chapter and the APSU National Alumni Association will host the Military Alumni Chapter Homecoming Dinner at 6:00pm, October 26th, 2018 in the APSU Morgan University Center Ballroom, with a reception at 5:30pm prior to the dinner.
Retired Brigadier General Scott E. Brower, the University’s first military adviser in residence, will serve as the keynote speaker.

Then event, which is free and open to the public, will teach attendees about severe weather and how to keep safe during a storm.

Tennessee State Representative Jay Reedy to speak at APSU Military and Veteran Graduate Recognition Ceremony May 2nd

Clarksville, TN – Tennessee State Representative Jay Reedy, a U.S. Army veteran and Austin Peay State University alumnus, will be the guest speaker at APSU’s Spring 2018 Military and Veteran Graduate Recognition Ceremony and Coin Presentation next week.
The ceremony, set for 5:00pm on Wednesday, May 2nd, 2018 in the Morgan University Center Ballroom, honors Austin Peay’s graduating students who are either veterans, National Guard, reservists or active-duty military personnel.

Clarksville, TN – Eighty-three percent of all teens involved in vehicle-related fatalities were not wearing seatbelts. More than 22,000 Tennessee traffic crashes involved drivers under 21.
Distracted driving is one of the leading cause of vehicle accidents in the nation.

Japanese delegation to visit APSU for January 24th ‘Walk in the U.S., Talk on Japan’ program

APSU, Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office partner to create mock crime scene for criminal justice students

Clarksville, TN – Huddled with a group of Austin Peay State University criminal justice students, Mark Wojnarek finally asked the question they had all spent the better part of a half hour trying to solve.
“Are we looking at the scene of a crime,” Wojnarek, a senior investigator sergeant with the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office, asked. “Some crime scenes can be staged, so are we looking at a murder, or are we looking at a suicide?”
