APSU to host 23rd Annual Bread and Words reading to benefit APSU Food Pantry

Clarksville, TN – Thanksgiving is a time to be grateful for life’s blessings, and the Austin Peay State University Department of Languages and Literature, in association with the Center of Excellence for the Creative Arts at Austin Peay State University, hosts an annual reading to benefit those less fortunate in the community the best way it knows how: with the written word.
APSU Department of Music hosts A Tennessee Holiday Dinner December 8th-9th

Locally, listeners feel a rush of excitement when Como mentions their state, and this year, the Austin Peay State University Department of Music aims to produce a similar mix of cheer and nostalgia when it hosts “A Tennessee Holiday Dinner” at 7:00pm on December 8th and 9th, 2017 in the Morgan University Center Ballroom.

Steven Sherrill will travel to campus on September 19th, at 4:00pm to give a reading of his fiction.

Clarksville, TN – On Thursday, March 23rd, Zone 3, the Austin Peay State University Center for Excellence in Creative Arts’ literary journal, will present a reading with award-winning essayist Erik Anderson and writer, editor and publisher Amy Fusselman.
The event, which is free and open to the public, will be held in the Morgan University Center Ballroom and begins at 8:00pm.
Colleagues and former students looking to honor APSU pioneer Betty Joe Wallace

Clarksville, TN – The late Betty Joe Wallace taught history at Austin Peay State University for almost 40 years, and many of her former students and colleagues praise her as a pioneer who helped create a more progressive campus.
“She was the first cigar-smoking feminist I ever met,” Dr. Carlette Hardin, dean of the APSU Martha Dickerson Eriksson College of Education, said.
Austin Peay State University Spring 2017 Graduation Gala to be held March 14th-15th

Clarksville, TN – The Austin Peay State University Registrar’s Office will be holding its two-day Spring 2017 Graduation Gala this March in order to make the graduation process as smooth as possible.
All APSU students participating in the spring commencement ceremony are encouraged to attend the gala, held from 2:30pm-5:30pm on March 14th, and from 10:00am-2:00pm on March 15th, in the Morgan University Center Ballroom.
