Montgomery County unveals Emergency Notification App

Montgomery County, TN – Montgomery County Government is pleased to announce the release of an emergency notification app for iOS devices. The app, MCGTNotify, is free to download and is currently available for those with Apple devices.
MCGTNotify will be an immediate source for local emergency notifications. It also includes a county departmental directory, the Sheriff’s Office booking log and the daily court docket – available right at your fingertips!
APSU releases Peay Mobile 4.0

Clarksville, TN – For several months, Austin Peay State University’s Information Technology (IT) department has been quietly working behind the scenes to implement a new mobile application called Peay Mobile 4.0.
This new version automatically replaces the original version of the Austin Peay mobile application, providing access to student and employee accounts, class schedules, grades and campus navigation. These and other features are at the control of your thumbs through Apple and Android mobile devices.

Local Coupon Book Continues In The Fifth Year To Help Clarksville Schools Raise Money and Local Families With Big Savings
Clarksville, TN – For the fifth consecutive year, The Clarksville-Montgomery County School System and Education Foundation have partnered together to sponsor the City Saver Education Funding Campaign that will run now until February 13th, 2015.
Last year’s campaign raised over $200,000 for local schools and the Education Foundation.
During this year’s campaign, all Clarksville-Montgomery County elementary and middle school students will be selling the new 2015 Clarksville City Saver coupon book, which contains thousands of dollars in savings at over 200 local favorite restaurants, attractions and retail stores.
APSU student Lance Batson and GIS Center develop inventory app

Clarksville, TN – The larger a business or government agency gets, the more equipment it acquires. Keeping track of all those computers and iPads and automobiles can be a nightmare, especially if files are misplaced or if someone’s handwriting is too messy.
Austin Peay State University student Lance Batson and the school’s Geographic Information Systems office are hoping to eliminate these problems by allowing agency’s to go paperless with a new digital asset management system. [Read more]
American Red Cross launches New App to Recruit Volunteers

Clarksville, TN – The American Red Cross today launched the Team Red Cross App, which allows people to sign up to help, get an overview on basic tasks and receive notifications about Red Cross disaster volunteer opportunities in their community.

Austin Peay State University GIS Center develops app for Clarksville Academy

Clarksville, TN – Earlier this year, officials with Clarksville Academy brainstormed ways to improve communication with parents, current students and prospective students. They decided to create iCougar, an app for the Apple iPad and iPhone.
The idea was to make it a centralized digital location for information on the school, but then came the next question – how do you create an app?
