APSU invites alumni and friends to Alumni University
Clarksville, TN – Austin Peay State University alumni who would like to come back to campus to see all the many changes that have occurred in the years since they graduated are invited to Alumni University on Saturday, July 28th.

Montgomery County, TN – The latest industry to become Green Certified through the Clarksville-Montgomery County Green Certification Program is Nyrstar’s Clarksville Smelter. A Green Ribbon Cutting Ceremony was held on Thursday, June 14th at their 1800 Zinc Plant Road location to celebrate their accomplishment.

Clarksville Parks and Recreation and the Friends of Fort Defiance to host “March to the Past” Saturday
Clarksville, TN – The City of Clarksville Parks and Recreation Department and the Friends of Fort Defiance will host the “March to the Past” event this Saturday, June 23rd from 10:00am to 5:00pm at the Fort Defiance Civil War Park and Interpretive Center, located at 120 Duncan Street.
This event will feature living history demonstrations such as infantry drills, Civil War medicine and clothing, rolling rifle cartridges and games for children.

Clarksville Police Department to hold Teen Citizen Police Academy
Clarksville, TN – The Clarksville Police Department will be hosting The Teen Citizen Police Academy, July 23rd through July 27nd, 2012. The course is free and the curriculum includes crime scene investigation, narcotics investigation, K-9 unit, and much more.

Montgomery County Mayor Carolyn Bowers supports Raise Your Hand Tennessee Day of Action 2012 by reading to children at the Public Library
Clarksville, TN – Montgomery County Mayor Carolyn Bowers will visit the Clarksville-Montgomery County Public Library on Thursday, June 21st at 10:30am to increase awareness of Raise Your Hand Tennessee.
