APSU, Mid-Cumberland Regional Safety Council to offer BBS, OSHA training courses
Clarksville, TN – Austin Peay State University is partnering with the Mid-Cumberland Regional Safety Council to offer Behavioral Based Safety Training and OSHA 10 Hour General Industry Training classes this month.
Both classes will be held in McReynolds Building, room 219 on the University campus.

Free Yoga on the Montgomery County Courthouse Lawn Saturday, June 6th
Montgomery County, TN – Join us for a free Yoga Flow class on the Courthouse Lawn on Saturday, June 6th at 9:30am. Susan Nicholson, ACSM, will provide a 45 minute class fitting for all fitness levels and all ages.
The class will be held on the Third Street side of the Courthouse. Bring a yoga mat or small blanket and join in the fun!

Clarksville Parks and Recreation’s Liberty Live Concert to be held this Friday, June 5th
Clarksville, TN – The City of Clarksville and Convergys are proud to announce the second concert in the Liberty Live series set for June 5th at Liberty Park.
The event will feature American Idol participant, Emily Minor, as the headlining performer. Admission is free but concessions will be available for purchase. The show is set to begin at 6:30pm.

Dunbar Cave State Park Programs for June 7th through June 13th, 2015
Clarksville, TN – Dunbar Cave State Natural Area has been a State Park since 1973. The cave and its surrounding 110 acres have considerable scenic, natural and historical significance. The entrance offered shelter to prehistoric Native Americans as far back as 10,000 years.
Dunbar Cave State Natural Area will present many nature programs during the year. There are programs for children and adults.
Some of the upcoming events include: Night Hike, Port Royal Evening Walk, Cave Hike, Park by Flashlight Hike, Creepy Crawley Detective, and Afternoon Hike.

Planters Bank announces Promotions
Hopkinsville, KY – The Planters Bank Board of Directors announced several title changes and promotions following its regular May meeting last week.
Judy Joiner, who joined Planters Bank in 1996, was named Senior Vice President/Chief Operations Officer. Greg Jackson, who joined Planters in 1996, was named Senior Vice President/Chief Retail Officer.
Scott Hancock, who joined Planters in 2002, was named Senior Vice President/Chief Trust Officer. Suzanne Langford, who joined Planters in 2003, was named Middle Tennessee Market Executive.

Clarksville Parks and Recreation’s Movies in the Park to feature Frozen this Saturday, June 6th
Clarksville, TN – The City of Clarksville and Convergys are excited to announce Disney’s Frozen is coming to the big screen Saturday, June 6th as part of the 2015 Movies in the Park.
Released in 2013, Frozen (PG) tells the story of two sisters, Anna and Elsa. The older sister, Elsa has kept hidden her powers to turn the world around her to ice, but when her secret is exposed, she freezes their entire kingdom in an eternal winter.

Disney’s Frozen to play Saturday, June 6th at the Heritage Park Soccer Complex as part of Movies in the Park.

Registration is Underway for Clarksville’s Wonder Kids Triathlon
Clarksville, TN – The Clarksville Parks and Recreation Department is excited to host the 3rd Annual Wonder Kids Triathlon to be held August 1st! This event is open to boys and girls ages 3-12 years-old and will take place at New Providence Pool and surrounding area of 166 Cunningham Lane.
Just like in a traditional triathlon, the Wonder Kids Triathlon athletes will participate in three legs of the event: swimming, biking and running.

Crisis 211 to hold Big Daddy’s Car show
Clarksville, TN – Crisis 211 will hold their “Big Daddy’s” car show on June 27th, from 10:00am until 2:00pm at Daymar College, 2691 Trenton Road.
Sponsored by Clarksville Auto Sales, Daymar College and Avalar Real Estate Services, the car show will feature all types of cars from pre 1960 stock to current stock and custom.

Jordan’s ‘Symbolic Summer’ Featured at Planters Bank Art Gallery in June
Clarksville, TN – The Planters Bank-Hilldale Gallery will feature “Symbolic Summer” by Clarksville Artist Terri Jordan from Thursday, June 4th – Wednesday, July 1st.
A 20-year arts veteran, Jordan is the exhibits curator of the Clarksville’s own Customs House Museum, as well as a fine artist working in oils and acrylics. She has been involved with nonprofit arts organizations and has taught classes for Centerstone.
