Clarksville’s Dunbar Cave State Park Programs for December 16th through December 22nd, 2015
Clarksville, TN – Dunbar Cave State Natural Area has been a State Park since 1973. The cave and its surrounding 110 acres have considerable scenic, natural and historical significance. The entrance offered shelter to prehistoric Native Americans as far back as 10,000 years.
Dunbar Cave State Natural Area will present many nature programs during the year. There are programs for children and adults.
Some of the upcoming events include: Port Royal Trail of Tears, Recovery Trail Hike and Welcome Winter Hike.

56th Annual Clarksville Lighted Christmas Parade was a delight for all
Clarksville, TN – The 56th Annual Clarksville Lighted Christmas Parade was held Saturday, December 5th, 2015. The theme this year was “Songs of Christmas”. It Started at 5:00pm.
The City of Clarksville and Montgomery County Government hosts the Christmas Parade. The Grand Marshall for the parade was Rudy Kalis of Channel 4 news.

APSU names Xavier University IT executive director Judy Molnar as new CIO
Clarksville, TN – Judy Molnar, a seasoned information technology professional, was recently named associate vice president and chief information officer (CIO) for Information Technology at Austin Peay State University.
Charles Wall previously served as the University’s CIO, but he retired in May after 43 years of service to APSU.

Cumberland Arts Centre’s “One Christmas Night” to feature Veteran Actors, December 11th-19th
Clarksville, TN – Audiences attending the Cumberland Arts Centre’s Dinner Theatre production of “One Christmas Night,” will be treated to the talents of several veteran actors from the community. Heading the cast is Benny Jones, who is well known in local theaters, having just completed his run in “Smoke” and “Spirit” in Adams, TN this fall.
Jones is also known for his numerous roles at the Roxy Regional Theatre as well as the Cumberland Arts Centre. Jones has also worked at the Barn Dinner Theatre in Nashville and played the title role in “Hamlet” in Monterey, CA.

John McDonald Makes Final Appearance as Scrooge in “A Christmas Carol” at the Roxy Regional Theatre, December 9th – 19th
Clarksville, TN – All good things must come to an end, and signature performances are no exception. After nine years of delivering countless “Bah Humbugs” upon the Roxy Regional Theatre stage, John McDonald will hang up his hat as the miserly businessman Ebenezer Scrooge with this year’s production of Charles Dickens’ “A Christmsa Carol”, opening December 9th.
Under the direction of Tom Thayer, Dickens’ classic tale of Christmases Past, Present and Future meets such holiday standards as “Deck the Halls,” “God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen,” “What Child Is This,” “I Saw Three Ships Come Sailing In” and more, performed to the music of acoustic instrumentalists Red River Breeze.
