Austin Peay State University hosting 2016 Girls’ Leadership Summer Camp June 6th-10th
Clarksville, TN – Next week, a new generation of female leaders will visit Austin Peay State University for the 2016 Girls’ Leadership Summer Camp.
The APSU Department of Political Science, the APSU College of Business and the APSU President’s Emerging Leaders Program are hosting the leadership development camp, which runs from June 6th-10th.

Clarksville Transit System offers Free Rides Saturdays in June
Clarksville, TN – To celebrate its 29th anniversary, the Clarksville Transit System is offering free rides every Saturday in June (June 4th, 11th, 18th and 25th).
“Many of our passengers ride CTS buses every day and we appreciate them so much,” said Transportation Director Arthur Bing. “We want to thank them for supporting us and these free rides are a great way to do that. We also want to introduce CTS service to people who may not have had an opportunity to ride our buses before. We think they will be pleased and proud of our service.”

Austin Peay State University alum George Mabry to be inducted into inaugural class of ROTC Hall of Fame
Clarksville, TN – U.S. Army ROTC cadets selected for the inaugural class of the Army ROTC Hall of Fame. More than 300 former cadets will be inducted into the Hall of Fame during a ceremony at Fort Knox, Kentucky on June 10th that will also celebrate the 100th anniversary of the Army ROTC program.
A 2000 graduate of Northeast High School (NEHS) in Clarksville, Gregory C. Mabry Jr. earned his Bachelor of Science in sociology from APSU in 2004.

3rd annual School Resource Officer Golf Scramble to be held July 15th, 2016
Clarksville, TN – On Friday, July 15th, 2016, the 3rd annual School Resource Officer Golf Scramble will be held on Friday, July 16th, 2016 at the Swan Lake Golf Course. This is a four man scramble with a shotgun start and pre-registration.
The entry fee is $60.00 per player. Entry fee includes Greens Fee, Cart, Lunch, Door Prizes and more. $20.00 for two Mulligans, Skirt and a Throw can be bought the morning of the scramble.

Clarksville, TN – 2016 marks the 8th year for June Boom in Clarksville, TN. In 2009, June Boom was a mere idea between Frank Caldwell and Justin Grant. Since its inception, the crowd has grown exponentially.
June Boom 2016, which is scheduled for Saturday June 11th, is expected to be bigger and better than ever!
This family-friendly event was created by Caldwell and Grant as a way to give back to the Clarksville community.
