2016 Garden Tour set for June 18th
Montgomery County, TN – The Montgomery County Master Gardeners Association will be hosting the 2016 Garden Tour on June 18th from 9:00am till 3:00pm. Six gardens will be available to view with Master Gardeners at all sites to assist and answer questions.
It is a self-guided tour which also offers a variety of crafts, yard art, birdhouses, herbs and plants at the different gardens.

Local Attorney Beverly Fisher’s “Grace Among The Leavings” Completes the Journey to the Stage of the Roxy Regional Theatre’s theotherspace, June 20th – June 28th
Clarksville, TN – The journey from the page to the stage does not always follow an established route: sometimes a new path must be forged.
Following months of adapting, rewriting and workshopping, Beverly Fisher’s Civil War novella “Grace Among The Leavings” completes its journey to the stage of the Roxy Regional Theatre’s theotherspace with four staged readings, June 20th – June 28th.
Originally adapted to the stage by Dennis Darling and Kari Catton and produced by Theatre in the Park in Lincoln’s New Salem State Historic Site in Illinois, “Grace Among The Leavings” underwent further adaptation this past year by Roxy Regional Theatre co-founder and artistic director John McDonald.

Clarksville-Montgomery County Public Library seeks Volunteers for Scholastic Book Fair
Clarksville, TN – The Clarksville-Montgomery County Public Library needs volunteers to help with the Scholastic Book Fair to be held from June 20th to June 24th from 9:00am to 5:00pm.
Shifts for each day will be: 9:00am to 12:00pm, 12:00pm to 3:00pm and from 3:00pm to 5:00pm.

The Friends of Fort Defiance Gear up for Annual Fundraising Event
Clarksville, TN – The Friends of Fort Defiance is excited to announce the date for this year’s March to the Past fundraising event to be held Saturday, June 11th from 10:00am – 3:00pm at the Fort Defiance Civil War Park and Interpretive Center.

Clarksville Parks and Recreation and TWRA’s Youth Fishing Rodeo set for Saturday, June 11th
Clarksville, TN – Clarksville Parks and Recreation and the Tennessee Wildlife Resource Agency (TWRA) will be hold the annual Youth Fishing Rodeo this Saturday, June 11th, 2016.
The fishing rodeo will be held at the Liberty Park pond from 7:00am to 9:00am. Hot Dogs and Drinks will be available.
Participants can pick up a form to pre-register at Wal-Mart or Grand Pa’s Outdoors prior to the event.

APSU student Dominic Critchlow sends high altitude balloon into the stars
Clarksville, TN – Give Austin Peay State University student Dominic Critchlow a balloon and a camera and he can quite literally show you the world.
A senior in APSU’s Department of Physics and Astronomy and a 2015-16 Presidential Research Scholar, Critchlow has spent quite a bit of time researching a simple solution for the complex problem of computer assisted image remote sensing through high altitude balloons.
