Hilltop Super Market’s 5th Annual BBQ Cook Off to be held May 2nd and 3rd

Clarksville, TN – The 5th annual BBQ Cook Off will be held May 10th and 11th, 2014 at Hilltop Super Market. There will be cash prizes for the 1st, 2nd and 3rd place finishing teams per category as well as trophy prizes. There will also be a Grand Champion.

Team sign ups are going on now. The Categories are ribs, chicken, pork and brisket.

Team judging will take place Saturday, May 3rd. The judging will start with chicken at 12:00pm, then spare ribs at 12:30pm, pork at 1:00pm and beef brisket at 1:30pm.

Team entry forms and rules for the contest can be picked up at the front desk of Hilltop Super Market. The team entry fee is $100.00.

On Friday, May 2nd, there will be a Hot Wing Contest. Teams can cook wings anyway they want. Wings will be furnished for the contest.

There will also be a Hot Wing Eating Contest Friday. The entrants will be the first 10 contestants to sign up. The entry fee is $10.00. The person to eat the most wings in 5 minutes wins.

Saturday, May 3rd, the Palmyra Volunteer Fire Service will put on a Cornhole Tournament. There will be a maximum of 30 teams. Registration before the event is $25.00, day of the event $35.00.
