Clarksville Parks and Recreation to hold Sevier Station Memorial Monument Dedication April 16th

Clarksville, TN – Clarksville’s Parks and Recreation Department invites the public to a dedication ceremony for the new Valentine Sevier Memorial monument at 1:00pm, Tuesday, April 16th at the Sevier Station Park.

The Valentine Sevier Memorial monument, recently refurbished by the Daughters of the American Revolution Captain William Edmiston Chapter, commemorates the park as part of the land deeded to Valentine Sevier in 1792.
Following the brief ceremony, a small reception will be held at the Fort Defiance Interpretive Center, located at 120 Duncan Street. Cookies and punch will be served.
