APSU to hold Tennessee Business Tax Seminar July 17th
Clarksville, TN – In cooperation with the Tennessee Department of Revenue, Austin Peay State University’s Center for Extended and Distance Education will hold the annual Tennessee Business Tax seminar from 8:00am to 5:00pm on Tuesday, July 17th.
The seminar will be held in the Morgan University Center. Representatives from the Tennessee Department of Revenue, the Tennessee Department of Labor and Workforce Development and the Tennessee Comptroller of the Treasury will facilitate sessions related to business taxes. In addition, a representative will speak on county/city business tax.
Seminar topics include the following:
- Sales and Use Tax
- Streamlined Sales Tax
- Individual Income Tax
- Unemployment Tax
- Business Tax
- Tangible Personal Property Tax
- Franchise and Excise Taxes
- Taxpayer Education and Communication from the Internal Revenue Service
- Legislative Amendments to Tax Law
- Recent Court Cases that Affect Tax Administration
Continuing professional education credits can be earned by attending this seminar, which has been approved for accountants, CPAs and tax professionals. The registration fee is $130.00, which includes all materials, continental breakfast and lunch. Seating is limited. Registrations must be received before July 11th.
