Jazz on the Lawn hosts Toast to Youth Development benefit for LEAP

Clarksville, TN – On Sunday, August 16th Beachaven Winery concert series ‘Jazz on the Lawn’ will feature music by the Back Road Brigade sponsored by the Joe Padula Show on 1400 WJZM. The music starts at 1:00pm and goes until 4:00pm.
The theme for this event is Toasting to Youth Development with 10% of proceeds from wine sells being donated to the LEAP Organization.
LEAP is a 501c3 nonprofit youth development organization that instills positive moral growth and sustainable life skills in youth.
35th Annual Queen City Road Race is this Saturday

Clarksville, TN – The 35th Annual Queen City Road Race, scheduled for this Saturday, May 4th, is quickly approaching. Be aware that as the 5K and 7K race routes take runners through the streets of Historic Downtown Clarksville, there will be several road closures to accommodate the safety of the runners.
The south bound lane of North 2nd Street to Main Street will be closed as well as the eastbound lane of College Street, and University Avenue to 8th Street. Additional closures include Summer Street, Henry Street and the Dunn Center parking lot on the side facing Governors Stadium. [Read more]
APSU Governor’s Bass Tournament just around the corner

Clarksville, TN – The 19th annual Austin Peay State University Governors Bass Tournament is just five weeks away.
This year’s competition will be held Saturday, May 11th, at Kentucky Lake, with registration and boat launching from Paris Landing, Tennessee, State Park. Last season’s tourney drew 264 boats.

“Ratatouille” is about Remy a young rat in the French countryside who arrives in Paris, only to find out that his cooking idol is dead. When he makes an unusual alliance with a restaurant’s new garbage boy, the culinary and personal adventures begin despite Remy’s family’s skepticism and the rat-hating world of humans.

The Bucket List is directed by Rob Reiner and features Jack Nicholson, and Morgan Freeman; backed up by Sean Hayes, Beverly Todd, Rob Morrow, Alfonso Freeman, Christopher Stapleton, Ian Anthony Dale, Richard McGonagle, and Lauren Cohn. Clarksville, TN – On Saturday July 9th the Clarksville Department of Parks and Recreation held Movies in the Park featuring the Kevin Costner hit Field of Dreams. Around 100 people gathered on the grass at Heritage park to enjoy the outdoor movie, fortunately the current heatwave had not yet hit our area.
