Manna Café Ministries “Manna Madness” is going on now

Manna Café MinistriesClarksville, TN – Manna Café Ministries announces Manna Madness, a 31-day event to raise awareness about and take action against hunger in the Clarksville area. The past few weeks have caused many Montgomery County workplaces to close, and, as a result, people have less money to put food on the table.

For the entire month of March, Manna Café will be collecting food and monetary donations to ensure we have enough food on our shelves to meet the needs in our community.

Clarksville, TN – A few weeks before Christmas; on a cold December morning, a crowd gathered at the Coldwell Banker Conroy, Marable & Holleman office on Wilma Rudolph Boulevard. 15 Families had been selected to receive a wonderful Christmas gift. One child from each family would soon be boarding the Coldwell Banker Clarksville Olde Town Trolley to shop for Christmas presents for their families.

“It’s great,” said Mark Holleman. “I think it’s fantastic. And like I said I think the agents will receive as much out of taking these kids shopping, as the kids will get out of shopping for their families.” The realtors mission was to give back to the community by ensuring that these kids and their families had a wonderful Christmas.

Clarksville's Tilted KiltClarksville, TN – Tilted Kilt Pub and Eatery, with support from the Nashville and Clarksville Chive Chapters, recently held a fundraiser resulting in a $3,000 donation to the Susan G. Komen Foundation.

The “Nashville Chive Unofficial Meetup, Part Duex”, presented by Budweiser of Clarksville, was held at Tilted Kilt on September 27th and included a silent auction, limited edition tshirt sales, drink and menu specials and more with proceeds going to Susan G. Komen.

Mrs. Tennessee Petite America to host Holiday Collection Drive at Clarksville’s Tilted Kilt Pub & Eatery

tilted kilt 2Clarksville, TN – Mrs. Tennessee Petite America Crystal Nyhus, with support from the Clarksville Chive Chapter, will host a Holiday Collection Drive to benefit Sanctuary, Inc. on Saturday, December 6th, 2014 from 3:00pm until ­7:00pm at Tilted Kilt Pub & Eatery.

Sanctuary, Inc. serves victims of rape, sexual assault, and domestic violence. Items needed for the drive include new bedding, any kitchen items, furniture, new clothing and coats, any toiletries, toys and books for ages, and electronics. Non­perishable foods are highly needed.

Clarksville, TN – To hear the words “you’ve got Cancer” is the most devastating news a person can hear. For those who have lived and died with the disease, the journey to recovery, or the walk with death, can be a devastating experience to family and friends.

It’s because of that experience that Doug and Vickie Wall, and their daughter, Candace Ursery, used their company resources to help make lives a little easier for those who will hear those words, “You’ve got Cancer.”
