Clarksville Parks and Recreation facilities will be closed for Thanksgiving Holiday

Clarksville, TN – Several of the Clarksville Parks and Recreation facilities will be closed Thursday, November 28th and Friday, November 29th for the Thanksgiving holiday.
The Main Office, located at 104 Public Square, the Indoor Aquatic Center as well as the Kleeman, Crow and Burt-Cobb community centers will be closed in observance of the holiday but will return to normal operating hours after Friday. [Read more]

Clarksville, TN – Every November, on the Tuesday before Thanksgiving, the Austin Peay State University Department of Languages and Literature hosts a benefit reading that not only celebrates the written word, but also raises public awareness of hunger in the local community.

Fiscal cliff may derail Market momentum gathered in November

Clarksville, TN – Even though the market indexes showed little change in November, the end of 2012 looks promising as the U.S. economy rebounded despite a highly contentious election cycle and the devastating effects of Hurricane Sandy thanks to some encouraging numbers from key indicators.
The Dow Jones Industrial Average experienced a post-election trough and ended the month north of 13,000, but still flat compared to the end of October. The NASDAQ mirrored the DJIA, bottoming at 2,837 on November 15th to close at a near month-high at 3,010. Likewise, the S&P 500 rallied from a low of 1,353 for November to end the month at 1,416. Clarksville Area Chamber of Commerce November Events

Clarksville, TN – The Clarksville Area Chamber of Commerce announces upcoming events during the month of November.
On November 10th, the Chamber will be hosting the 20th Annual Veterans Day Breakfast at the Austin Peay State University Morgan Center. The morning will begin with a buffet style breakfast at 7:30am followed by a salute to our veterans and then will conclude with COL Andrew P. Poppas, Deputy Commander (Operations), 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault), serving as the keynote speaker.

Clarksville Parks and Recreation Facilities’ Hours to Change in Observance of November Holidays

Clarksville, TN – The City of Clarksville’s three community centers will adjust their hours of operation this November to accommodate students in the Clarksville-Montgomery County School System and their holiday schedule.
The Kleeman, Crow and Burt-Cobb Centers will be open from 10:00am to 7:00pm Tuesday, November 6th and Monday, November 12th as students will be out of school for Election Day and Veterans Day. [Read more]
