Clarksville, TN – Downtown Artists Co-op (DAC) is proud to announce our 4th Annual Juried Photography Exhibition. This Photography Expo will feature the best photography from local and regional photographers.
All photography will be juried into the show by three experienced jurors and professional photographers; our impartial jurors for the show are Keely Moore, Tony Aldridge and Johnnie Welborn Sr. The DAC Photography Expo gets better every year, so expect to see the best DAC Photo Expo ever!

Clarksville, TN – Local Photographer Shane Moore will show a collection he’s titled “Touch of Grey” at the Planters Bank-Hilldale Gallery on Thursday, October 2nd- Wednesday, November 5th.
Moore is a photographer committed to traditional black & white film photography. While he does incorporate digital images into some of his fine art prints, his passion and goals remain creating interesting, thought-provoking or beautiful images on film, then producing one-of-a-kind archival prints in his darkroom.
Riverfest Tour d’Art Receptions begin tonight

Clarksville, TN – Riverfest Tour d’Art kicks off tonight in conjunction with the First Thursday Art Walk with the High School Division exhibit reception. Art enthusiasts are invited to explore exciting treasures created by local artists. Artwork is juried and over $2,500 in prizes will be awarded.
The High School Division reception, sponsored by CDE Lightband and hosted by the Customs House Museum & Cultural Center and Arts and Heritage Development Council takes place, Thursday, September 4th from 5:00pm to 6:00pm at the Custom’s House Museum.

Planters Bank Features Artwork from Two Local Teachers in April

Clarksville, TN – Long-time friends and art teachers Maureen Griffin and Debbie Harrison have collaborated to create an exhibit featuring ceramics, watercolor, photography and mixed media pieces.
Their exhibit, “Two Friends, Two Teachers,” will be on display at the Planters Bank-Hilldale Gallery from Thursday, April 3rd – Wednesday, April 30th.
New exhibit at APSU showcases antiquated photography process

Clarksville, TN – The photographs in Frances Scully Osterman’s new exhibit, “Nature’s Second Course,” straddle the line between the macabre and the sensual.
The images show people sleeping, but they were created using the antiquated wet-collodion photography process, giving the black and white photos a ghostly quality.

APSU Provost Lecture Series: Photography professor Susan Bryant to present October 3rd

Clarksville, TN – An Austin Peay State University photography professor will present the next session of the Provost Lecture Series this week at APSU.
Susan Bryant, APSU professor of photography, will present at 3:00pm, Thursday, October 3rd, in the Morgan University Center, Room 303. She will discuss and provide a brief history of the of the 19th century photography method known as the wet plate collodion process.
