Visit Clarksville TennesseeClarksville, TN – Clarksville-Montgomery County is poised to welcome nearly 3,000 guests next week for three divisions of the Amateur Athletic Union’s Boy’s 10-and-Under National Basketball Championships.

Since 1999, Clarksville has hosted dozens of regional and national AAU basketball events.

Austin Peay State University - APSUClarksville, TN – For the past four years, Austin Peay State University senior music education and music performance double major Garrett Coscolluela has spent one weekend in August marching on the field of Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis, Indiana.

But it wasn’t until this past August — in his final trip to the home of the NFL’s Indianapolis Colts — that Coscolluela had the hardware to prove he was among the best in what’s considered the major leagues of marching band performance.

Illustrator Frank Morrison to Speak on “The Quickest Kid in Clarksville”

Clarksville's Customs House Museum and Cultural CenterClarksville, TN – The Customs House Museum and Cultural Center welcomes illustrator Frank Morrison on Saturday, July 8th, 2017 on its monthly Second Saturday Free Admission day. The museum is open to the public with free admission from 10:00am – 5:00pm.

Attendees will have three opportunities to hear Atlanta artist and illustrator Frank Morrison promote appreciation of illustration as an art form, reading as an enjoyable learning experience, how children and adults benefit from viewing art, as well as talking about his road to becoming a professional artist. Morrison will present in the Turner Auditorium at 10:30am, 1:30pm, and 3:30pm.

Clarksville-Montgomery County Welcomes AAU Boys’ National Basketball Championships July 7th-12th

Visitor Spending Expected to Total $2.5 Million

Visit Clarksville TennesseeClarksville, TN – Clarksville-Montgomery County is poised to welcome nearly 3,000 guests next week for two divisions of the Amateur Athletic Union’s Boy’s 10-and-Under National Basketball Championships.

Since 1999, the city has hosted dozens of regional and national AAU basketball events. This year, 53 teams from 16 states including Utah, New York, Texas, New Jersey, Michigan, Maryland, Louisiana, Indiana and most states bordering Tennessee, will make their way to Clarksville for championship play.

Austin Peay State University Department of Theatre and Dance presents “Buried Child” on February 8th-12th

“Buried Child” to be performed by APSU Department of Theatre and Dance

Austin Peay State University - APSUClarksville, TN – Sam Shepard’s Pulitzer Prize winning play, “Buried Child” opens Wednesday, February 8th at Austin Peay State University. In this performance, APSU’s Department of Theatre and Dance will explore what it looks like when the American Dream fails.

The curtain rises at 7:30pm for performances on February 8th-11th, with an additional showing February 12th at 2:00pm. All performances take place in the Trahern Theatre, with admission ranging from $10.00 for general public to $5.00 for students, seniors and military.

APSU GuitarFest returns to campus February 15th-17th

APSU Center of Excellence for the Creative ArtsClarksville, TN – This February, Austin Peay State University and the APSU Center of Excellence for the Creative Arts will present the annual APSU GuitarFest, featuring guest artist concerts, lectures and workshops.

The concerts, which are free and open to the public, take place on Monday, February 15th, Tuesday, February 16th, and Wednesday, February 17th, at 7.30pm in the Music/Mass Communication Building’s Mabry Concert Hall.
