101st Airborne Division Band to perform Holiday Concert at Clarksville-Montgomery County Public Library

Clarksville, TN – The 101st Airborne Division Band from Fort Campbell, KY will be performing in the atrium of the Clarksville-Montgomery County Public Library at 6:00pm on Tuesday, December 11th, 2012.

Cumberland Winds Concert Band to perform at Clarksville-Montgomery County Public Library Saturday

Clarksville, TN – The Cumberland Winds Concert Band will entertain with a variety of traditional and popular musical styles, including show tunes and music from movie scores, at 2:00pm on Saturday October 27th at the Clarksville-Montgomery County Public Library.
This is the second of three performances by several versions of the Cumberland Winds at the library, and will comprise the largest number of performers.

Clarksville, TN – Montgomery County Mayor Carolyn Bowers will visit the Clarksville-Montgomery County Public Library on Thursday, June 21st at 10:30am to increase awareness of Raise Your Hand Tennessee.
She will read to a group of children and speak about the importance of supporting literacy efforts in Montgomery County. Raise Your Hand Tennessee is a statewide effort by United Ways of Tennessee to recruit volunteers to mentor, tutor, and read to children. [Read more]

Clarksville, TN – The Clarksville Montgomery County Public Library Board of Trustees recently appointed Martha Hendricks to the full-time position of Library Director. Martha has previously held the positions interim director and assistant director.
She has been with the library for more than three years and worked with the Warioto Regional Library program for more than thirteen years. She holds two degrees from the University of Kansas, a Bachelor of Arts in Linguistics and a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Painting along with a Masters of Science degree in Information Sciences from UT Knoxville. Public Library accepting Food Donations for F.U.E.L.

Donations Accepted Through September 11th as Part of Hands-On Clarksville’s Serve to Remember Volunteering Project
Clarksville, TN – The Clarksville-Montgomery County Public Library will be accepting food donations of single packaged items suitable for use in the F.U.E.L. program, which serves 1,700 children in Montgomery County.
These children’s only source of food may be that served during the school lunch program. Items will be placed in children’s backpacks at school each Friday to help feed them over the weekend. [Read more]
