Clarksville-Montgomery County Public LibraryClarksville, TN – The 101st Airborne Division Band from Fort Campbell, KY will be performing at the Clarksville-Montgomery County Public Library at 6:00pm on Wednesday, December 10th, 2014.

The show will feature a brass quintet, a rock band and a jazz combo for an hour-long concert.

Everyone is passionate about something—whether it’s superheroes, art or composting. What you love is what you “geek.” Here at the library, we geek serving others, providing free books, movies, music, and children’s services to our community, and encouraging life-long learning both through our physical collection and in the virtual world through online resources–just to name a few things. Clarksville-Montgomery County Public Library to hold Cumberland Winds Jazz Project performance Saturday, October 25th

Clarksville-Montgomery County Public LibraryClarksville, TN – The Cumberland Winds Concert Band will bring its Big Band style Jazz Project to the Public Library on Saturday, October 25th at 1:00pm.

The concert will be held in the atrium of the library and will coincide with the final afternoon of the Friends of the Library Fall Used Book Sale.

Clarksville-Montgomery County Public Library Rear Drive-Up Book Return Closed until Parking Lot Renovation Completion

Clarksville-Montgomery County Public LibraryClarksville, TN – The outside drive-up book return chute at the rear of the public library in Veteran’s Plaza is currently closed during the final phase of the parking lot renovation.

Clarksville-Montgomery County Public Library to host Imagination Library “Hats Off To Reading” with Celebrity Readers, June 25th

Clarksville-Montgomery County Public LibraryClarksville, TN – Channel 4 Chief Meteorologist Lisa Spencer will be among the celebrity readers at the Clarksville-Montgomery County Public Library Wednesday, June 25th for a child-centered event to highlight the Montgomery County Imagination Library.

Other guest readers include GNASH, the Nashville Predators mascot, Kirby Cannon, APSU Head Football Coach, along with the APSU Governor’s mascot and the Tender Paws therapy dogs.

The fun will begin at 10:00 that morning in the atrium of the library.

Clarksville-Montgomery Public Library offers Free Downloadable Music and Online Classes

Clarksville-Montgomery County Public LibraryClarksville, TN – The Clarksville-Montgomery Public Library will be offering two new electronic resources for library card holders in Montgomery County – Freegal Music and Universal Class – available immediately on the library website: www.mcgtn.org/library — under the E-Resources tab.

Freegal Music, which is short for Free and Legal, is a resource that expands the collection of music available to C-MCPL library card holders by over 3 million songs. Each cardholder in good standing may download up to three MP3 files per week at no charge. These songs become the property of the library user once they are downloaded. [Read more]

Final Group of 2012 Working Towards Green Certification

Clarksville-Montgomery County Green Certification ProgramMontgomery County, TN – A seventh group of participants completed the Clarksville-Montgomery County Green Certification Program (CMCGCP) workshops this month.

The group began the process in October 2012 with plans to complete their certifications by April 2013.
