Kroger becomes Clarksville-Montgomery County Green Certified

Montgomery County, TN – On Tuesday, May 28th, 2019, a green ribbon cutting was held to recognize Kroger as the latest Clarksville-Montgomery County Green Certified organization. The certification covered all three Kroger stores in Clarksville (Dover Crossing, Madison Street and Lowes Drive).
Those in attendance at the Green Ribbon Cutting were Montgomery County Mayor Jim Durrett, Montgomery County Chief of Staff Kyle Johnson, Program Manager Carlye Sommers and Program board members Daryl Pater, Haley Randell and Doug Jones.

CMCSS students participate in Diversity Day at Clarksville Lowe’s

Montgomery County, TN – Students from the Transitions Program of the Clarksville-Montgomery County School System got to spend the day shadowing staff at Lowe’s on Lowe’s Drive, learning how to perform various roles at the home improvement store.
“The Transitions Program works to prepare students for competitive, paid employment after high school,” stated Cassie Allen, CMCSS Transition Coordinator of Special Populations.
Clarksville’s 4th Annual Pit Bull Awareness Day set for October 16th

Clarksville, TN – On Sunday, October 16th, 2016 between the hours of 1:00pm and 4:30pm, the Humane Society of Clarksville-Montgomery County will hold Clarksville’s 4th Annual Pit Bull Awareness Day in the parking lot of The Pet Food Center located at 2243 Lowes Drive, Clarksville, TN.
This event is held to bring awareness about the misconception of Bully Breeds.
Manna Café Ministries “Manna Madness” is going on now

Clarksville, TN – Manna Café Ministries announces Manna Madness, a 31-day event to raise awareness about and take action against hunger in the Clarksville area. The past few weeks have caused many Montgomery County workplaces to close, and, as a result, people have less money to put food on the table.
For the entire month of March, Manna Café will be collecting food and monetary donations to ensure we have enough food on our shelves to meet the needs in our community.

Lydia Walker sings Songs of the Christmas Season
