Lydia Walker to sing at Freedom Deli

Clarksville, TN – Popular local singer/musician Lydia Walker will play Freedom Deli tonight from 7:00pm-9:00pm. Walker’s playlist of contemporary folk music includes “Shades of Gray” and “When I Dance.”
Walker hails from Cunningham, TN, and has been writing and performing her own songs, accompanied by her acoustic guitar, since the age of 12. She has performed at coffee shops, colleges, churches, and festivals and has just released her 7th independent album, “Beloved”, co-written and produced with Nashville hit songwriter Curt Ryle. Her goal is to inspire people with a message of hope.
Freedom Deli is located at 2088 Lowe’s Drive off Wilma Rudolph Boulevard in Clarksville.
A & S All Support to hold Community Awareness Day

Clarksville, TN – A & S All Support, a group dedicated to bridging the employment gap for individuals with disabilities, will be holding a community awareness day at Furnish 123 on Saturday May 14th, from 11:00am to 5:00pm. They’ll be grilling hamburgers, hot dogs and Brats.
Admission is free but donations will be accepted and the proceeds will pay for expenses for their clients who are participating in the State Special Olympics on May 20th and 21st at Vanderbilt. [Read more]

Clarksville, TN – Giving Clarksville-Montgomery County School System students real-world knowledge and hands-on experience has been made possible by this month’s Board of Education Point of Pride recipient, the Fort Campbell Federal Credit Union.
CMCSS’s Career Technical Education (CTE) has worked closely with FCFCU president and CEO Stewart Ramsey, vice president of retail operations Melody Swindall and executive vice president Maria McKee to plan and implement the student credit unions at Northeast High School and Rossview High School.
