Rivers and Spires Festival kicks off tonight in Downtown Clarksville

2013 Rivers and Spires Festival | April 18th-20th | Clarksville, TN

Rivers and Spires FestivalClarksville, TN – The Rivers and Spires Festival begins this afternoon at 5:00pm in downtown Clarksville, TN. This three day event includes live music, art, food and activities for the kids.

The music kicks off at 5:30pm on the Public Square Stage with Uncle Lenny. Uncle Lenny is cover band from Clarksville. Their music variety ranges from rock, to country, to some blues.

Cowboy Mouth closes out tonight's River and Spires Festival at 8:30pm on the Public Square Stage.

Rivers and Spires is being held April 18th-20th.

The Rivers and Spires FestivalClarksville, TN –  This weekend, the place to be is Downtown Clarksville, Tennessee for the 11th annual Rivers and Spires Festival. The Festival begins Thursday, April 18th and runs through Saturday, April 20th.

The streets will be filled with with craft and food vendors, five music stages, kids’ activities and artisan booths. So come out for a great time.

Rivers and Spires 2012 Festival opens with some amazing weather

Rivers and Spires Festiveal 2012 - 10 yearsClarksville, TN – The 2012 Rivers and Spires festival opened with some amazing weather, clear and not too hot. Crowds of people descended on Historic Downtown Clarksville to enjoy the first day of the free three day annual festival.

The Roxy Regional Theatre opened up the musical entertainment with a musical review of current and upcoming productions including School House Rock and Spring Awakening which are both currently playing, and The Wedding Singer and Happy Days from their upcoming season.

The Clarksville Area Chamber of Commerce held their Business After Hours Event in the Parking lot of U.S. Bank at the Clarksville City Hall. Chamber members enjoyed refreshments provided by Hooters, and played a variety of games with Hooters Girls including a Cornhole Tournament, Putting, and Dancing.

But, because it is our birthday, and we think a big one, the Festival has a few surprises up its sleeve, but you’ll have to come out and see!

If you’ve never been to the Rivers & Spires Festival or are new to town, put it on your calendar and get ready to have a great time. Lined with craft and food vendors, six music stages, kids’ activities and artisan booths, Historic Downtown transforms each year as the festival goes into full swing. Music is a big part of the event, with at least two artists on one of the many stages at any given time. But it doesn’t stop at just music. That night’s activities and concerts will be located on Public Square in Downtown Clarksville and are free and open to the public.

2012 Rivers & Spires FestivalClarksville, TN -This year marks the tenth anniversary of the Rivers & Spires Festival and officials are working to make the celebration be the biggest and best so far.

That is why everyone interested in being a part of the milestone birthday is encouraged to sign up and be a part of the Festival.

The Rivers and Spires FestivalIt is spring time again, and April is upon us. That means one thing, Rivers and Spires is just around the corner! The free three day festival will be held on April 15th-17th. It brings people from across the country to Historic Downtown Clarksville to enjoy some of the best entertainment, unique arts & crafts, and the distinctive culture our city has to offer.

The festival this year promises to be bigger and better than ever! With many new events, big name performers, and three days of non-stop fun, there is something for everyone!

In 2009, more than 35,000 people filled the streets of Clarksville for the free 3-day event.
